This bat was used by Lou Gehrig during the 1938 season  -  The bat was given to Lou Gehrig from a salesman for the Hollander Baseball Bat Company, who was trying to sign Lou Gehrig to a spokesman contract for the company

According to Frank Crosetti, Lou Gehrig used the bat a few games but felt it did not swing the same as his H&B bat.  He gave it to Frank Crosetti to use.  Frank Crosetti flew out to centerfield both times he used the bat

The bat was in Frank Crosetti's possession since then until the bat was sold
